Spring Practice #1

Ahhh springtime. The trees are full of flowers, the sun is shining, it's 90 degrees, and football plays are being yelled out. Spring practice officially began on March 19th. So far so good for the Sun Devils. The players are in good shape and ready to get playing.

Here are some tidbits:

Rudy Burgess is still limping around on his ankle, he's off crutches but still very sore. He hopes to be ready to go for the spring game at least.

Littrelle Jones' arm is healed and he is back to playing.

"Sophomore QB Danny Sullivan is up 36 pounds to 236 from his weight last season. Junior DE Wes Evans now weighs 253, up from 215. TE Dane Guthrie is listed at 267, up from 253. P Jonathan Johnson, already solid last year at 205 pounds, now is 226.

Those on the trimmer side include G Shawn Lauvao, down from 316 to 307, and C Mike Pollak, down from 305 to 292.

DL Alex Fa'agai now is going to Alex Asi, his father's last name. The junior is up from 265 pounds to 288." -azcentral.com

Brett Palmer has left the team for undisclosed reasons.
